Privacy notice
Sensitive questions deserve plain-language privacy choices.
This notice explains how Bible Real Life handles account information, questions, guidance, and study activity.
Information the site may process
Account information may include an email address, display name, authentication records, and basic security data. Product information may include questions, generated guidance, saved items, study content, progress, invitations, reflections, prayer requests, feedback, and moderation reports. The site does not need a street address, phone number, date of birth, church membership, or contact list for its core functions.
Why it is used
Information is used to provide the requested guidance, create and save studies, maintain progress, allow deliberate group participation, protect accounts, investigate reports, improve safety and reliability, and comply with valid legal obligations. It is not sold or used to build advertising profiles.
AI processing
When personalized AI guidance is enabled, the question and reviewed topic context are sent to OpenAI to prepare the response. Study generation sends the selected title, topic, and a sanitized focus, not the original question. Users should not enter names, addresses, account numbers, or details they do not want processed. Requests use the provider's setting that disables stored Responses application state. OpenAI may still process limited data for abuse monitoring under its API data controls.
Supabase accounts and storage
The intended production system uses Supabase for authentication and database storage. Row Level Security is designed to restrict personal records to the owner and shared-study records to valid members. Invitation tokens are generated with high entropy, stored only as hashes, and expire. Server secrets are not sent to the browser.
Device-only mode
If the account service is unavailable, the site may offer device-only storage. That data remains in the browser’s local storage and is not available across devices. Anyone who can use the same browser may be able to access it. Use only a trusted, non-shared browser; clearing site data removes those records from that browser.
Retention and deletion
Account holders can request deletion from My studies. Device-only data is removed immediately from that browser. Account deletion requests enter a restricted review queue so owned studies, invitations, saved guidance, and required operational records can be handled consistently. Some limited security and operational records may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required.
Sharing
Guidance and studies are private by default. A guidance share action links to a reviewed topic guide rather than exposing the user’s original question. Group study access requires a deliberate invitation. Group members can see display names and deliberately shared reflections, but not another person’s completion progress, private question, or account email.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used to collect information from them. Suspected child abuse or immediate danger should be handled through emergency services and qualified safeguarding authorities, not through this site.
Questions or deletion requests
Use My studies to request account deletion. Use the feedback form for other privacy questions without including additional sensitive story details.
